Covid-19 and the Chinese Viral Lab

Covid-19 is the world wide virus that we are dealing with today. It has shut down most of the whole world. People are getting the sports seasons canceled, graduations and proms canceled, school canceled, and people are getting laid off and losing their jobs. Covid-19, aka coronavirus, escaped from a viral lab in Wuhan, China. It happened from a person who was researching a cure to the coronavirus. This person unknowingly infected himself with the virus.

After unknowingly getting affected, this person went to a fish market and must have spread the virus to people there. This person was asymptomatic, meaning that they were not showing symptoms of the virus, but were in fact carrying the virus. The virus was very, very contagious with a high level of person to person spread. The local authorities originally focused mainly on the fish market because of the many animals, oftentimes unusual, that are for sale for consumption there. There were even rumors that the virus came from a person at this market that ate a bat! I can tell you that this is not true and that the Chinese government has been researching coronaviruses for decades.

Viral labs can be a very dangerous place to work because of the potential, or risks for release or infection of a virus there. Employees are put through a very rigorous background search and are required to undergo extensive training on viruses and diseases before they can work with live viruses. Finding vaccines and cures to viruses are why these labs even exist in the first place. However, these safety protocols do not guarantee that mishaps do not happen. The travesty here is that the Chinese government attempted to cover up the extent of the number of positive infection data, or cases. The local authorities in Wuhan did not do enough to contain the virus there by containing movement and starting a lock down as soon as the medical profession

confirmed that it was a coronavirus of unknown origin. The Chinese government also didn't want to be responsible for some virus that is released without a known course of treatment or cure.

In conclusion, the virus came from an unintentional release from a viral lab in Wuhan, China. The government didn't want the negative press coverage or the shame about the virus getting out, but it did. It spread throughout the whole world and wreaked havoc on everyone's lives. It's up to China to take accountability and make up for their wrongs. They also need to put out a detailed report that can be scrutinized by other world leaders on exactly what happened and just finally admit to the world that it was released from a viral research lab in Wuhan, China.
